I have served as the National Vice Chairman of ICPAK for the period 2021-2023 having been elected unanimously for two consecutive terms being a confirmation, trust and confidence that the Council and membership have had in my ability to lead the Institute. I have served as a Council Member of the Institute for the period 2020-2023 having been elected in 2020. I am keen on driving thought leadership, stakeholder engagement, advocacy, Public Policy, Public finance, Governance and the Devolution and legislative agenda of the Institute. While in Council, I have been committed, consistent, results driven and focused on ensuring that council delivers on its mandate and to the welfare of members.

About Me

I am an experienced and accomplished Certified Public Accountant of Kenya, a member of the Institute in good standing and a Certified Professional Mediator. I have over 25 year’s extensive experience in Leadership, Financial Accounting, Reporting and Management, Budget Management, Audit and Project management gained locally and internationally from both the Private and Public sector.

I hold a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Option) and a Master of Business administration degree from Moi University. I have undertaken various courses and hold a Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) from the Kenya school of Government; a Certificate in Public Sector Financial Management from ESAMI, Arusha, Tanzania, a Certificate in Project Risk Management from Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), a certificate in Mediation, a certificate in Corporate Governance from the Center for Corporate Governance in Kenya and other executive Leadership and Management courses undertaken in and out of the Country.

 I am currently an Assistant Director of Finance at the Judiciary in charge of Revenue and Deposits and serve in various Policy and administrative committees of the Judiciary. I previously served as an Ag. Director Finance and an Ag. Deputy Director Accounts at the same Institution. During my current tenure as the head of Revenue and Deposits, the Judiciary received unqualified (clean) audit opinion on Revenue Financial statements from the Auditor General(OAG) for the last 3 (three) consecutive years. Prior to Joining the Judiciary in 2013, I served as the Finance Manager of Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) Limited for over 8 years, where I gained extensive International experience in Financial management, accounting and Reporting having risen from a position of a Senior Accountant. I started my career as an Accountant at Parklands Sports Club and have served the Accounting profession diligently since then.

I served as the pioneer Chairman of the Alumni Association of KCA University for the period 2013-2017 and still remains member where I contribute to the KCA university endowment fund for needy students. I was as a parent representative at Moi High School- Kabarak for the period 2012-2015. I am a full member of the Friends Church (Quakers) and fellowships at the Friends International Center, Ngong road, Nairobi.

For my great dedication, contribution and service to the Institute and the Accountancy profession, I was granted a certificate of Commendation in December 2020 by the Institute. I have also served and represent ICPAK on the Elections Nomination Committee of Harambee Sacco Society Ltd, a role I have undertaken diligently for the last two years.

I am married to Dr Everlyne N.Samita a Lecturer of Entomology at Kenyatta University and we are blessed with four Children; Allan, Christabel, Mitchel and Nicole
